![]() I’d type out other tips for those other fights but Xylem is pretty straight forward aside from with holding cooldowns to be reactive. They begin to spam their main abilities - whirlwind for Jarl, Blood for Sigryn, Shield for Runecarver - and having hand of Protection available at that point helps a ton with survivability and being able to toss out repentance to stop Sigryn. One big tip is save Hand of Protection for when the fight gets to the end. Runecarver generally isn’t a big deal since you want to just save dps cooldowns for his shield ability and pursuit for stepping in the runes he spawns. When Sigryn uses Blood of the father - or w.e its called - pop repentance on her and when Jarl berserks I would stun him for a few more seconds of cleave then pop Hand of Hindrance so he’s slowed for the full duration of his berserk. I would also make a target macro for using repentance onto Sigryn and Hand of Hindrance onto Jarl. This helps keep your cleave uptime on the boss particularly high. I’d focus hitting the runecarver dude since as long as you’re in melee with him he will always try to partially keep up with you between casts. The berserk shouldnt be possible to hit on ret since I didn’t kit my lvl 50 paladin out for mage tower - aside from crusader - and I comfortably blew through the fight. Sigryn is probably the easiest mage tower - especially on ret. I’ve heard people are hitting a new enrage timer around 6 or 6 and a half minutes? My attempt only took 5 minutes an 17 seconds, so I never saw the enrage.Ĭongrats on your bear form! IMO that was the hardest challenge I’ve done, aside from afflock! At least as far as Demo is concerned, sigryn was very well balanced. But I’d imagine enhancement shaman can probably handle the challenge fairly well. Sigryn I’ve only done with the demo lock. It wasn’t absolutely terrible, especially using the self healing from the crusader enchant (which even after the nerf still heals for like 2-3k each time). Don’t forget to use your turn evil in P1 to help with CCing the adds to interrupt the knife dances! (I recommend stacking as much intellect as you can). ![]() You’d have to actually cast holy light and function like old school paladin healing, which can make it a very interesting challenge. The hardest part with the paladin is phase 7, because you can’t stand in melee and beat on the boss like you’re accustomed to. Paladins will blow through the first 6 phases like it’s nothing. I would 100% recommend using your paladin for the healing challenge. It can get horrible frustrating but eventually you’ll get it if you pay attention, learn from your mistakes, and just keep on pushing through! I’m enjoying the book mount! For everyone else out there who is still struggling! Don’t forget to take breaks, clear your head, and breathe. That being said, despite raging (and trust me, I raged hard many times) I thoroughly enjoyed finally getting through the challenges and the rush of excitement when I finally completed one. None of my other healers made it past the double knife throwers. My monk made it to P3 but couldn’t do enough dmg to beat the clock. My paladin blew through every phase but struggled on P7. Healing challenge felt impossible on every toon but my paladin. Probably spent 100 tries on the bear this go around.įire Mage took the least amount of tries (5). Before they fixed the nether horrors into the shape they are now. Of all the challenges, bear tank took the most this go around. Took me about 40-50 tries back then, and that’s what it took me to get the demo lock. I did the unholy DK challenge before I ever cleared Tomb of Sargeras and my ilvl was only 909 at the time (I did it prior to 7.3s inflation). Granted, I’d say some of the challenges (like demo lock) felt more in line with me about how the unholy DK felt in legion. I’ll say that it definitely felt harder this to around. (In legion I also did unholy DK, MW monk, blood DK, and BrM, Ele Shaman, and Feral Druid, and disc priest). Of those, the ones I did in legion was bear tank and windwalker monk. I finally did it! I got the book mount! This is by far my favorite mount.
